The short version
- The apps you choose to shut never leave your phone. We can’t see them.
- No ads, no selling data, no tracking you across other apps.
- Crash reports and usage counts are tied to an install, never to you or your account.
What stays on your phone
When you pick apps for a pot, Apple’s Screen Time gives Ante a sealed token for each one, not its name. We never learn which apps you chose or how long you use them.
If you don’t make an account, your tasks, pots, rules, challenges and record stay on your phone too.
What we keep if you make an account
Your email address, or the private relay address if you use Sign in with Apple.
Your tasks, pots, rules, challenges, chips and record, so they appear on every phone you sign in on. These are stored with Supabase, our database provider.
We send sign-in and account emails through Resend.
Crash reports
When Ante crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to Sentry: the kind of error, where in the code it happened, your iOS version and phone model.
Error messages are removed before sending, so task titles and pot names never go with them. Reports are not linked to your account, and IP addresses are not attached.
Usage counts
Ante counts a fixed list of about twenty moments, like starting a challenge or finishing a task, using PostHog. This tells us which parts of Ante help and which get in the way.
Counts are tied to an install, never to your name, email or account. They never include app names, task text or what you wrote. There is no screen recording and nothing is captured automatically.
Payments
Apple handles payment. We learn whether you have Pro and when it renews, never your card details.
Deleting your data
In Ante: Record, Account, Delete account. Your account and everything synced with it is erased from our servers.
Signing out clears your data from that phone. Deleting Ante removes everything stored on the phone.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write toprivacy@get-ante.app and we’ll reply within a month.
We keep account data for as long as you have an account. If you think we’ve handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Ante is not made for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
Ante is run by Ante, who decides how your data is used.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll say so in the app before it takes effect.
